Super show from Arena

Circus Arena – Denmark presented yesterday evening their new super circus show 2004 in Copenhagen. And what a show…..an absolute top class performance from the biggest circus in Scandinavia, kicks director Benny Berdino directly in the European first class. In the most beautiful tent ever seen in Scandinavia and with wide range of top artists makes Arena better than ever.

The show was led by Susanne and Carsten Berdino –Daughter and son in law – with a double horse act. First in the ring was Arenas 6 white stallions alone with smoke and blue light. This opening was original made by circus Shumann in the 60ties – called rhapsody in blue and has been used all over the world since then. After the white horses entered Arenas 6 black Friser horses the ring. Last year was those wonderful horses a part of Arenas second unit in circus Skratt in Sweden and was performed there by Nadia Kroplin..

Claudia Bremlov, just finished her "Virus" tour in Germany with circus Flic-Flac. Her sexy nurse uniform that she used in Flic Flac was replaced with a nice black cat suit and she performed a antipode act in absolute world class. Claudia was a part of the circus competition "The Circus princess" a female only competition in 2000 where she won the second place. Claudia is fast, young, beautiful and just fantastic.

Julia and her dog – . The puddle was just fantastic and so well adapted in the act. Extremely high level and very charming. It wasn’t necessary to give the dog orders; it just played through the act.

Rossyan clowns. The two brothers Hector and Yann from France was the guys behind the funny part of the show. They were last seen in the last two seasons in circus Maximum - Sweden. Rossyans are funny and they play music so well that you just have to smile. –Very nice.

Krenzola – Different animal acts and that’s is exactly what it is. 85 different animals in the ring. Lots of parrots, dogs, cats, a fox, pigeons and an eagle in over size. The eagle was with Krenzola a few years in circus Benneweis (Denmark) but he wasn’t aloud to perform with this animal because of the Danish law against different animals in circus. This year he was permitted to perform with all his animals and the spectators saw a very different act.

Alex and Marina – Trapeze act from Russia. Those two elite gymnasts did a extremely nice and visual performance. Marina with a glowing red hair and black suite did with her husband, a very different act under the big top. It is so nice with those young artists to see the new thinking behind modern circus today and they way it comes through in the acts. Alex and Marina are absolute diplomats for the new generation of artists.

Flying Neves from Brazil did a very nice job in their flying trapeze. For the second year in a row Benny Berdino has chosen a flying trapeze act. Flying Neves are in my opinion a great choice. Tonight they felt in the net twice but that’s very common because those kinds of acts had to adapt them selves to the surroundings before it will be perfect.

Arenas Drommedaries performed by Karsten Berdino. Last year on tour in circus Skratt in Sweden but now back in circus Arena. Not much to say about those funny creatures but they always looks good.

Krenzola in his second act. This time with 18 ducks in 3 different colours. Very funny and different. The ducks are trained as horses and do almost the same tricks. Running around in formations keeping the colours together – very impressive.

Xelo – Diablo. As Claudia Bremlov comes Xelo directly from the circus Flic Flac performances" Virus" in Germany. Xelo is a highly specialized Diablo artist and one of the absolute best of his kind in the world. He is young and with a lot of energy he represents the young generation of artists. Xelo can play with four Daiblos in one time and that’s is very rare. Xelo is very visual and suits extremely well to the performance..

Sonny Frankello and his African elephants reengaged from 2002 and 2003. Sonny is just my kind of animal trainer. The act is funny and in a fantastic atmosphere. Sonny and the elephants showed some new tricks learned through the winter in Germany. Very very nice..

Show time for 2 hours and 45 minutes including a 15 min break.

Circus Arena uses an English circus band, with a very nice sound.. They play in a modern sound from experimental hard rock to more traditional circus music..

Circus Arenas Show ais this year in the absolute top class. It is a very modern performance with modern sound, especially the tune they played under the Xelo act - Psychedelic hard rock that’s what the modern audience wants and this performance was a mix of old traditional circus and modern circus. Thank you for that because no one can be disappointed after this performance.
